We are looking for a specialist physician for the youth clinic in Sörmland, located in Eskilstuna-Katrineholm.

In the northwestern part of Sörmland, there are five youth clinics, the largest in Eskilstuna but also in Katrineholm, Strängnäs, Vingåker, and Flen, as well as our digital clinic managed jointly with the southern part of the county. The medical operations of the youth clinics belong to the women's clinic at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna/Kullbergska sjukhuset in Katrineholm and consist of a total of 8 midwives and one physician. The patient group consists of youth from menarche to 23 years of age with all types of gynecological issues.

Mälarsjukhuset is the largest hospital in Sörmland. A new construction is underway at the hospital, which will be completed in 2025/2026. In completely new and adapted premises, the delivery and women's ward will be located on the same floor as the neonatal ward. The new constructions will mean a consolidated staff competence, which is planned to lead to faster and more efficient care for our patients and an improved working environment for our employees.

At the women's clinic in Eskilstuna - Katrineholm, about 235 employees work. We have around 1600 deliveries annually and perform about 1200 surgeries, of which about 500 are urgent per year. All doctors share the on-call duties; in addition, we are open to many different solutions on how your work life can look. We have doctors with special interests in certain areas, and we have those who utilize the medium-sized hospital's opportunity for breadth. We have those who combine work with research or other activities, those who work part-time, those who take ongoing compensation to spend time with family, and those who commute long distances and concentrate their working hours to have uninterrupted time at home. In short, we are flexible and want you to be able to provide good care to patients, develop, be part of our friendly team while making everyday life work.

Your Responsibilities

We work closely with the midwives with daily discussions about management and care. The position at the youth clinic is 50%, and the time can largely be distributed according to your own wishes in consultation with the manager. There is a great opportunity to influence your own schedule as needed. If there is a request for a higher working degree, there is an opportunity to work at Mälarsjukhuset with outpatient or inpatient work or at Kullbergska sjukhuset with outpatient work. The position also includes supervision for the midwives in the county once a month.

Employment Type

Temporary position for 6 months, possibly longer, where the working degree can be discussed.
